Maria Rosa

We were first introduced to Maria Rosa by the man who built Maremar for us. We have been going back ever since and nine times out of 10 they can probably guess what we are going to order!

The key to cooking fish and seafood perfectly is not to mess with it. And Maria Rosa know exactly what they are doing in this respect. Come and have a look…

Maria Rosa is a favourite with Catalan families – especially for a Sunday lunch of the classic Paella, black rice (cooked with squid’s ink) and fideua (angel hair vermicelli cooked in fishy loveliness). You will see boats moored near the rocks and people coming over in their dinghies to collect their “take aways”.

The menu is extensive and even caters for meat eaters (a bit).

Booking is recommended, especially at weekends and if you want a table outside (we have even done this in February). More details are in our guest only pages.
