The living areas

There are two living areas within Maremar.

The first is the traditional ground floor, which has a very large living room looking through enormous french windows into the patio, garden and then the sea. It contains two three seater sofas and a coffee table, book cases, large mirror and fireplace in the front portion of the room and then a dining table with room for six, a “buffet” or sideboard containing extra crockery etc and a “what not” of unique design in the rear portion.

We have been told by guests that the space is bigger than they expected from the pictures. Look at the tables, knowing that six people can fit very comfortably around them, and that will give you an idea of the dimensions of the living room and patio.

The American kitchen is behind the living room and is opened out so that the chef can keep up with what is going on in the living area. It is well equipped as we use Maremar ourselves, with German-made (Bosch or Miele) cooker, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine.

It is light and airy and fabulous to sit in. The air conditioning keeps you cool if the sea breeze cannot. We have had screens made so that, in the evening, you can keep the door open and the lights on without attracting too many insects.

The second living area is on the second floor. It is a very large space which can be used as a chill out room, an office or another large double bedroom. We call it the Penthouse! It too has large glass doors leading out onto our second sun terrace which also overlooks the sea. This floor does not have separate air conditioning.
